Debris on property

We bought 4 lots. The owner was supposed to have his trailer that burnt up cleared off, but he has passed away. What can I do?

Hi Virginia,

I would suggest you ask for some assistance from the property’s selling real estate agent to put you in touch with the estate of the deceased seller. Hopefully they will do the right thing and assist you in contacting them. Perhaps getting an estimate on the cost to have it removed may expedite the situation since you can then go to the seller’s estate/people/family and ask for a specific amount of money to solve the issue. Also, hopefully you have the agreement to remove his trailer in writing available. As a last resort, you could look to take the estate of the seller to small claims court to recoup funds you may spend to remove the trailer.
