“Hello. We were impacted in 2021 by the Marshall Fire in Louisville Colorado. We are currently trying to buy a home back in Louisville and are having trouble finding suitable homeowners insurance coverage. Do you have any recommendations on strong carriers still writing policies in the area of the Marshall Fire?”
As to recommending a specific insurer, we have found that what matters most is policy language, limits, etc. and whether the insurer’s sales representative works with the consumer to put adequate coverage in place on the dwelling. People’s claim experiences vary depending on the personalities and professionalism of the adjusters assigned to their claims – it’s hard to generalize.
