HO policy canceled even though we’ve never filed a claim. What do we do?

We live in the Oakland Hills of California. Recently our policy was canceled, even though we’ve never filed a claim and pass Oakland Vegetation Management Inspection with flying colors every year. Any advice for getting a new policy?

Our organization has been doing our best to help people understand their insurance policies and shop for coverage for many years. In California, the affordability/availability situation has been increasingly difficult.
