Lisa Hughes

Marshall Fire Local Liaison

Lisa Hughes lost her home in the Marshall Fire in Louisville, Colorado in Dec 2021. Her neighborhood of 20 years was lost in the fire. Lisa immediately  stepped up as a neighborhood liaison for her neighborhood helping her neighbors navigate the endless sea of things to do post fire and working toward bringing her neighborhood and community back.  That is how she first heard of United Policyholders. She has a Masters in Social Work from San Jose State University and a BA from the University of Colorado, Boulder. She has worked in the nonprofit sector for the last few years as a volunteer manager. She is also a former teacher. She has spent many years volunteering in non profits.  When not working she enjoys spending time with her family, and in Colorado’s beautiful mountains hiking, reading, doing Zumba, and playing with her dog. She is excited to be serving as a local liaison for Marshall Fire impacted communities.
