Lisa Hughes joined the UP staff in 2022 as the Marshall Fire Local Liaison after losing her home in the Marshall Fire in Colorado in Dec 2021. While in that role she served as Board Secretary for Marshall ROC,  the long term recovery group for the Marshall fire from 2022-2024.

Lisa works in all three UP programs, Roadmap to Preparedness, Roadmap to Recovery, and Advocacy and Action to help Colorado consumers. She has a passion for preparedness, resiliency and mitigation after rebuilding her house after the Marshall fire and helping her community. She loves to educate Colorado consumers on homeowners insurance through the lens of both recovery and preparedness. Lisa also serves as a Firewise community Co-lead for her neighborhood, and volunteers to help her city and her neighbors to be better prepared for the next disaster.
