Letter requesting depublication. United Policyholders’ letter urges the California Supreme Court to depublish a lower court ruling that suggested that a policyholder may not obtain a declaration in favor of coverage from its excess insurers unless and until the immediately underlying insurer had paid its policy limits. Such a suggestion goes against decades of cases and practice in California.
