Companies still writing policies in california

You state that there are about 115 companies still writing fire insurance policies in California. Can I get a list? My agent can’t find any.

Try the California Department of Insurance’s shopping tools. They offer a list of CA home insurance companies with toll-free phone numbers, and a list of companies that sell “DIC” (“Difference in Conditions”) policies that fill gaps in Fair Plan policies. http://www.insurance.ca.gov. They also have a consumer hotline at 800-927-4357 and an online insurance finder.
