Jerry Schreiber is a Partner in the accounting firm of Schreiber & Schreiber. He received his BBA from Loyola University and is a member of the AICPA, SLCPA, and New Orleans Estate Planning Council. He is the 2019 recipient of the AICPA Special Recognition Award and the 2018 Arthur J. Dixon Award. The AICPA Special Recognition Award has only been given out 30 times since 1887 by the AICPA. The Arthur J. Dixon Award is the highest honor bestowed by the accounting profession in the field of taxation. Over the course of his career, Schreiber has shared his deep expertise on disaster tax relief with CPAs and state CPA societies affected by major catastrophes. As a resident of Louisiana, Schreiber selflessly contributes his time and knowledge of individual income taxation and disaster relief provisions with CPA colleagues across the United States. Schreiber has appeared on IRS’ Tax Talk Today, the IRS Nationwide Tax Forums, and authored continuing education courses on individual income taxes, IRS practice and procedure, casualty losses, Hurricane Katrina matters, GO Zone Act and Circular 230.
