This is Susan Davis’ first holiday back in her rebuilt home.

“In the months after we lost our home (we escaped with our dog and the clothes on our backs) and our way of life to the 2018 Camp Fire in Paradise, we attended a number of UP meetings held in Chico. I truly don’t know what we would have done without you and your staff. We feel we owe you and yours a great debt of gratitude. You gave us a way to put one foot in front of the other and to find our way out of shock and loss and grief. You helped us to find focus.

Thanks to the very important information you provided, we were able to make better sense of our situation and know how to best proceed with our insurance company. Thanks to that very information, we were able to negotiate with our insurance company in spite of setbacks and roadblocks.

There were a lot of tough times but now, three years later, we are in our rebuilt home and received the insurance benefits that we paid for and to which we were entitled.”
