My house has been remediated but it looks like it will be months before my contents claim–textiles and art–is submitted and reimbursed. I’d like to put my house on the market. Will selling my house cause problems with my open claim?

Tom Henderson Expert answered 3 years ago No, selling your house should not impact your ability to make a claim for the replacement cost of your contents. It would be wise to confirm this first with the insurance company. It could impact your ability to make claims for various dwelling coverages and extensions, but I don’t interpret your question as asking about that.
