Part D – “Loss of Rents”. palisades fire. Total loss

My question is regarding extension of Part D under the Emergency Order of no less than 24 months, up to 36 if needed. My policy has Part D as “Loss if Rents.” It is a residential/landlord policy for a single family home that I rent to one person. Do I qualify for the additional 12-24 months? My policy does not state a time limit on Part D.

Hi Alexandra, yes, based on the information you provided, your policy should provide Loss of Rents coverage for the additional time duration, should it be necessary to rebuild, repair and/or replace your home. The carrier will most likely need a copy of your currently lease agreement to verify the rental income and regular updates on the repairs, reconstruction and/or your replacement home purchase. Good luck, UP Staff
