Car insurance claim

Can I legally rescind a claim if I decide not to repair my car?

Hi Sue,

This can be more of a legal question. In my experience, once a claim is reported, it’s a claim. Rescinding it doesn’t take it off your record. I am happy to answer it if you think I am on the right track.

Hi Sue,

Pretty sure that once you submit a claim you can withdraw it but it will be on your record, and if you decide not to use the insurance. money to fix the car and you have a subsequent accident – that claim may be denied if the damage compounded unrepaired damage.

Thx, Amy
