Jacques Lord is a professional engineering geologist and Certified Fraud Examiner with more than 40 years experience in environmental consulting and regulatory compliance. He is currently a Fraud Examiner for the California EPA and has managed State contractors removing wildfire debris after the Malibu Woolsey Fire. Mr. Lord and his family lost their home in the 2007 San Diego Wildfires. Using the U.S. Green Building Council definition of a high performance home, Mr. Lord and his family made it their goal to achieve the highest Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification – Platinum – and do so for the cost of less than $225 a square foot. In the process, Mr. Lord has gained a lot of “on-the-job” training regarding sustainable construction and finish features. He also has expertise in debris removal programs.
