Carole is a highly respected and dedicated Wine Country native and real estate professional with a thorough understanding of the market, deep community connections, and a background in development and corporate business who joined United Policyholders’ Board in 2026. She earned a Finance degree from the University of the Pacific, and worked in the hospitality and retail industry before returning to Sonoma County and focusing on real estate. She is the broker/owner of Vine Street Property Management and leader of the Carole Sauers Team with Golden Gate Sotheby’s International Realty, overseeing commercial holdings, family portfolios, and concierge-level client services.

Carole’s passion for insurance consumer advocacy is informed by both professional focus and personal experience. She was a key resource for displaced families after the 2017 Tubbs wildfire —helping them navigate clean-up, documentation, adjusters, policy limitations, and critical decision-making. She maintains up-to-date knowledge on the current property insurance marketplace, coverage availability, wildfire risk, rebuilding timelines, and the real-world impacts of policy gaps.
