Kathryn joined the Board of Directors of United Policyholders in 2026 after volunteering for the (pro bono) Financial Decision Making Clinics that we host for disaster-impacted households through our Roadmap to Recovery program, and supporting our work in her community after it was devastated by wildfires in 2017 and 2018. She recently retired from a career applying her financial acumen to help clients secure and strengthen their financial health as a Certified Financial Planner with Abacus Partners in their Northern California office. She took on that role after a stint in business world, followed by 10 years teaching Business and Economics to high school students. She has served on many non-profit boards and is an enthusiastic member of Impact 100 Redwood Circle, a group of women dedicated to creative philanthropy in the Sonoma County community.
