Nargizyan v. State Farm

Year: 2025
Court: California Second Appellate District
Case Number: B342340

In its amicus brief, United Policyholders weighs in on the important issues of water loss claims for homeowners in the context of the “Continuous or Repeated Seepage or Leakage” (CRSL) exclusion. Across the state of California and around the country, certain insurance companies have been aggressively denying water damage claims in homeowners insurance policies through a strained interpretation and misuse of the CRSL exclusion that seeks to eliminate coverage for all water damage of any sort that occurs over any period of time whatsoever.
