Wildfire Risk Reduction (Mitigation) Resources

View grants, community programs and information that can help you reduce the chances of a wildfire damaging or destroying your home. “Home hardening” means home improvements.  “Defensible space” means creating a plant and tree-free zone around your home.

Lake County Home Hardening Program This program provides defensible space and home hardening retrofit measures to Lake County homes within the jurisdiction of the Kelseyville Riveria Community Association, targeting low-to-moderate income households.

South Lake County Chipping Program Vegetation Chipping service offered to South Lake County Residents. (Complimentary 4 hours of chipping for FireSafe Council members)

Grant funded financial aid for active work performed for residents in need of assistance to clear vegetation within 100 feet from around their home
