Defensible Space Assistance Program | Defensible Space Assistance for Income-Eligible (DSAFIE) is a program that helps low-income seniors and persons with disabilities adhere to defensible space regulations.

Chipper Program | The Mendocino County Fire Safe Council Community “Chipper Day” Program allows community members to schedule a chipper day as a neighborhood or join the waitlist as an individual. Sign up to receive free vegetation chipping service to aid in creating 100 feet of defensible space around your property.

Home Assessment Program | The Mendocino County Fire Safe Council’s FREE Home Assessment Program can visit your home and explain how to use basic fire science principles to your best advantage. They will also leave you with customized advice and specific steps you can take to protect your property.
