| ReCoverCA Owner-Occupied Mitigation (OOM) Grant | Eligible Home Hardening & Mitigation Costs Include: • Debris clearance, demolition, landscaping, repairs, etc. that increase the level of protection from future wildfires and disasters. • Defensible Space and Home Hardening activities that increase resilience and reduce or eliminate long-term risks and impacts of future disasters. • Activities that assist in bringing a home and property up to code with Wildland Urban Interface (WUI) standards.If you have questions regarding the ReCoverCA OOM Grant, call ReCoverCA at (916) 202-1764 or email ReCoverCA@hcd.ca.gov. |
| Defensible Space Chipping Program | Through grants and donations, the Shasta County Fire Safe Council is providing chipping services to residents of Shasta County.

| Whitmore area Wildfire Home Hardening Program | Shasta FSC and Cal OES have a financial assistance program to aid Whitmore area residents with home hardening, retrofit and defensible space upgrades.

| California Wildfire Mitigation Program – Home Hardening Initiative | The California Wildfire Mitigation Program is a pilot program of CalOES and CalFire, funded in part by FEMA to support California homeowners with protecting their property from wildfire damage through defensible space and home retrofitting.
Currently the California Wildfire Mitigation grant program is only accepting applications from specific communities within the following Counties:
