Help for Park Fire survivors will be available in one place for a few weeks.

The Local Assistance Center is here to help anyone with financial assistance, home rebuilding or even counseling.

Fire victims can show up to the new local assistance center anytime between 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

A couple Park Fire survivors told Action News Now they are not sure what to do, hoping the center will give them a starting point. Dozens of county, state and non profit agencies will be here for the next two weeks to help people with their specific needs.

Fire survivors packed the old 99 Cents Only stores, as many people lined up at the doors, hoping for help.

One man who lost his home and many other of his valuable possessions on Cohasset Road was still smiling despite it all.

“I’m pretty depressed.. because it sucks we lost a lot not just my house but my recording studio, memories I’ve had we lived there since 2000 for me particular its recovering the lost personal items,” Yaymo Ahqha said.

Another Park Fire survivor who lost his home from the fire said he hopes he can get any help he can.

He said he is really relying on the center to get him in the right direction.

There are non profit agencies here like United Policyholders, which helps people navigate insurance after disasters like the Park Fire.
They said they help victims take the first steps by giving advice and information.

Butte County Development Services, Northern Valley Catholic Services and other disaster relief resources are helping fire victims.

Butte County Behavioral Health is offering ways to get counseling support.
