el dorado county fire districtsEldorado County is protected from wild fire by the Amador-El Dorado unit of CAL FIRE in the largely

eastern half of the county and by the Eldorado National Forest and Lake Tahoe Management Unit of the United States Forest Service on the mainly
western half of the county.  Several local fire departments have jurisdiction on LRA scattered in populated areas.
