Can you get paid mileage for checking on your home while it is being rebuilt?

Our home was totally lost to the Colorado Marshall Fire on 12.30.2021. We were advised by our Safeco/Liberty Mutual adjuster that we needed to obtain an “as-was bid with code upgrades broken out separately” and submit that bid to that same Safeco/Liberty Mutual adjuster, so…

Hi, Our home was in the Marshall Fire in CO, but survived with smoke & fire damage. Prior to the event, we were underinsured. Since then, we’ve been trying to increase our dwelling coverage with our insurance company (USAA). After two attempts, we were able…

We recently had damage occur to our community pool. The adjuster is requiring a contractor to help determine the cause of the damage. Who pays the contractor?? Thanks, Don

Can you tell us how our HOA townhome coverage works with our individual townhome insurance policy?

I have received my 83 page dwelling estimate. It is generated through Xactimate. I have a neighbor who has a similar floor plan and model to mine and same sq ft. His estimate is significantly higher than my estimate. The difference is over $350,000. Can…

A friend has been told that Colorado Law requires that insurance companies pay for code upgrades when figuring the rebuild cost for a destroyed house, and that this is true even if you have reached the maximum of your insurance limit without including the cost…

I purchased a home in November, 2021. I spoke at great length and on at least 3 different phone calls with my insurance agent going over all the details of the property. The agent viewed the mls listing of the home, pulled county records and…
